Fallen off the face of the Earth...

My return to blogging! Yay! I know you all have been dying to know what is going on in my life, the suspense has been killing you. Well, brief update on the past few months of my life. Law school finally commandeered my life. I have been representing clients on landlord/tenant issues all semester, and as it turns out, that is a very time consuming venture. My riding was reduced to the trainer (when I actually had time to do it), my meals consisted of soup and crackers, and I showered maybe once every 2 or 3 days. Yea, I know, that's bad (and gross), but hey, that's law school. Good news is that phase is over....now I'm on to the catch-up phase. That means I try to make up the 300+ pages that I have yet to read in a couple classes, all before finals start in 2 weeks. No biggie....

On a much happier note, I've been riding a lot and consistently. My cycling confidence was totally beat for a while, but I've been feeling a lot better on the bike, and actually feeling fit enough to enter a race or two. I had one of the best rides ever on Easter Sunday up at Kelley Acres with some of the local gals. What was supposed to be an LSD ride became quite competitive between myself, Sonja Evers, and Jen Rasmussen. We ripped the legs off of each other for 3 1/2 hours, but all in good fun. It will be a very fun racing season!

My first race of the season will be the Syn-Fit Crit in VA on Saturday, a whopping 15 mile crit. That's ok, that means I will get in a good training week, being less concerned with tapering for the race. The more training the better! Now all we need is spring to arrive and we'll be all set.

So stay tuned for better, more frequent updates. The semester is almost over!
